WeldCertTest ("we," "us," "our") is a mail-in welder performance qualification testing service operated by Xenogenesis, LLC of Alpharetta, Georgia. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep this short and plain because our customers — fabricators, contractors, and QC managers — don't have time to wade through legalese.

What We Collect

We collect only what we need to quote your job, perform welder qualification testing, issue WPQ documentation, and operate this website.

Information You Give Us

• Quote requests and contact form submissions — name, company name, email address, phone number, welding code, test position, welding process, number of welders, and any additional details you include. Our quote form is processed through Formspree, a third-party form-handling service.
• Email and phone correspondence — anything you send us by email or tell us by phone when arranging testing or asking questions.
• Welder identification on submitted coupons — welder name, employer, position, process, and base metal information you mark on or include with shipped test coupons. This information appears on the resulting WPQ record.

Information Collected Automatically

• Google Analytics 4 — we use Google Analytics 4 (property G-3WWGH3HV2Z) to understand how visitors use our site. This collects anonymized data including pages visited, time on site, general geographic location, device and browser type, and referring website. We do not receive personally identifiable information through GA4.
• Google Ads — we run Google Ads campaigns. If you arrive at our site by clicking a Google Ad, Google may set cookies that track conversions (such as submitting a quote form) and may add you to remarketing audiences. This helps us measure ad performance and show our ads to people who have visited our site.
• Server logs — our web host records standard request logs (IP address, timestamp, page requested, user agent) for security and operational purposes.

Email correspondence is handled through standard commercial email services. Physical records related to test coupons and WPQ documentation are retained in accordance with industry practice and audit requirements.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but we take the protection of customer information seriously.

How Long We Keep Your Information

• WPQ records and testing documentation — retained indefinitely as part of our quality records, consistent with AWS code documentation practices. These records may be requested by you, your QC department, or project inspectors for years after the original test.
• Quote request and contact form data — retained for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and provide service, then archived according to standard business record-keeping practices.
• Analytics data — retained per Google's standard GA4 retention settings.

Your Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to:

• Request a copy of personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of personal information (subject to our legal obligation to retain testing records)
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share personal information for advertising purposes outside of the Google Ads disclosures above

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). You may request what categories of personal information we have collected, the purposes for collection, and request deletion subject to applicable exceptions. We do not "sell" personal information as that term is defined under the CCPA.

Children's Privacy

WeldCertTest is a business-to-business service. Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through our site, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted clearly. Continued use of the site after updates indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
