Terms of Service

The terms governing your use of weldcerttest.com and our welder qualification testing services.

Last updated: May 13, 2026  ·  Governing law: Georgia, USA  ·  Operated by: Xenogenesis, LLC

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of weldcerttest.com (the "Site") and any welder performance qualification testing services we provide. WeldCertTest is operated by Xenogenesis, LLC, a Georgia limited liability company located in Alpharetta, Georgia. By using the Site or requesting testing services, you agree to these Terms.

What We Do

WeldCertTest provides mail-in welder performance qualification (WPQ) testing services to fabricators, contractors, welding operations, and individual welders nationwide. We accept submitted test coupons, perform AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) visual inspection, coordinate accredited laboratory bend testing, and issue official WPQ documentation in accordance with applicable welding codes including AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, API 1104, AWWA, and related specialty codes.

What We Do Not Do We are not a welding school. We do not teach welding, witness the welding act, operate a customer-facing testing facility you visit in person, or issue AWS-branded individual welder credentials (such as the AWS Certified Welder card, which is issued only by the American Welding Society).

Customer Responsibilities

By submitting a quote request or shipping a test coupon to us, you agree that:

We rely on the information you provide. We do not independently verify welder identity, witness the welding, or audit your facility. The WPQ we issue reflects what we received and what we tested.

Service Scope & Results

What You Receive

Upon successful completion of testing, you receive an official Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ) record signed by our AWS CWI, listing the welder name, process, position(s) qualified, qualified production thickness range, visual inspection results, bend test results, WPS reference, and CWI certification number. Documentation is delivered by email and may also be mailed in physical form on request.

If a Coupon Fails

If a coupon fails visual inspection or bend testing, we document the failure in full — including which specimens failed, the nature of the discontinuity, and the applicable code reference. Failure documentation is provided at no extra charge. Re-testing is available under the conditions specified in the applicable code (e.g., AWS D1.1 Clause 6.25 for performance qualification retests). Re-testing requires a new coupon and is billed separately.

Turnaround Time

Typical turnaround is 5–10 business days from coupon receipt. Estimates published on our Site reflect typical conditions but are not guarantees. Volume, code complexity, lab scheduling, and project-specific requirements can affect actual turnaround. Rush processing may be available at additional cost — contact us if you have a hard deadline.

Payment Terms

Pricing is provided by quote. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due upon completion of testing and before WPQ documentation is released. We accept the standard commercial payment methods communicated at the time of quote. Past-due accounts may be subject to collection. Title to WPQ documentation transfers upon receipt of full payment.

Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — including text, graphics, photographs, code references, FAQs, tables, process descriptions, and design elements — is the property of Xenogenesis, LLC and protected under United States copyright law. You may not reproduce, republish, scrape, or use Site content for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

Code references on this Site (AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, API 1104, AWWA, etc.) refer to publicly available welding standards. The standards themselves are the intellectual property of their respective issuing organizations. We do not republish code text — we explain how code requirements apply to welder qualification.

Your test coupons remain your property. The WPQ document we issue is your record to retain, file, and produce to project inspectors as needed. We retain a copy as part of our quality records.

Disclaimers

No Professional Advice Information on this Site — including FAQs, process descriptions, code references, and general guidance — is provided for informational purposes only. It is not legal, engineering, or compliance advice. Welding code interpretation for your specific project is the responsibility of the Engineer of Record, your QC department, or the project owner. Always verify code requirements against the controlling project specification.

Our services are provided "as is." While we perform inspection and testing with care and in accordance with applicable AWS code requirements, we make no warranties beyond those expressly stated in our quote or written agreement. We do not warrant that our service will meet every project-specific requirement that has not been communicated to us in advance.

The WPQ documentation we issue reflects the condition of the test coupon as received and tested. It does not warrant the welder's future performance, the condition of production welds, or the suitability of any specific production weld for any specific application.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Xenogenesis, LLC's total liability arising out of or related to your use of this Site or our testing services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific test in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages — including project delays, lost profits, cost of rework, or any damages arising from a third party's interpretation or application of WPQ documentation.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Xenogenesis, LLC, its officers, employees, contractors, and AWS CWI personnel from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of (a) inaccurate or incomplete information you provided about a welder, coupon, or project; (b) your use or misuse of WPQ documentation; (c) production welding performed by a welder we qualified; or (d) your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites — including the American Welding Society (aws.org), the International Code Council (iccsafe.org), Formspree, Google services, and others. Changes to These Terms

Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of our services will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Fulton County, Georgia, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
